Last Love in Our Entire Life Is Best

A very distracted man has a talk with Buddha in a temple one late night.

He, ‘Enlightened Buddha, I’m a married man, but I’m frantically falling in love with another woman now. I really don’t know what to do!’

Buddha, ‘Are you sure that woman whom you are falling for is the best and the last love in your life?’

He, ‘Yes, I’m sure.’

Buddha: ‘You divorce your present wife and marry her, then.’

He, ‘But my wife is a kind of gentle and virtuous woman. Will I be too cruel and immoral to do this?’

Buddha, ‘You have already fallen for someone else. There are truly cruel and immoral to hold on to a loveless marriage. You’re making the right choice.’

He, ‘My wife who honestly loves me very much!’

Buddha, ‘Then she is happy.’

He, ‘She should be suffered if I would divorce her! How can she be happy?’

Buddha, ‘She has her love for you in the marriage. You have lost your love for her in the marriage because you fell for someone else. Some say, the happy one is the one to own the true love. The unhappy one is the one to lose in love. Hence, you’re the one to suffer actually.’

He, ‘But, I’m the one leaving her. She should be suffered for losing me.’

Buddha, ‘You’re wrong. You’re just an image to her true love in the marriage. Her true love will move on to another image when your image does not exist. Her true love for marriage will never fade away. Thus, she will be happy always. Surely, you’re the one to suffer.’

He, ‘She said that she only loved me with all her life! She wouldn’t love anyone else!’

Buddha, ‘So, have you ever said the same to her?’

He, ‘I…….!’

Buddha, ‘There’re three candles in front of you. Tell me which one is the brightest?’

He, ‘I really don’t know. They all look like the same.’

Buddha, ‘The three candles are likened to the three women. One candle among others is the woman whom you are in love with now. But, you are unable to tell which the brightest is. There are millions of women to all mortal beings; how can you believe that she will be the best and the last love in your entire life?’

He, ‘I…….!’

Buddha, ‘Now, you pick up a candle and try to feel it with your heart and tell me which is the brightest?’

He, ‘Of course, this one is the brightest!’

Buddha, ‘Right, you put it back. Tell me which is the brightest again?’

He, ‘Sorry, I really can’t tell the difference!’

Buddha, ‘As a matter of fact, the candle that you picked is likened to the last woman you love. If you love with a heart, you will certainly feel which the brightest candle is. The so-called last love you are having is only just a fantasy. So, when you put it back, you can’t tell the difference at all.’

He, ‘Oh, I understand. You aren’t telling me to divorce my wife. You enlighten me! Now, I truly comprehend who the best and the last love in my entire life is!’

Buddha, ‘immeasurably" bright, everlasting and immeasurably "pure"

Go Beyond Comfort Zone

Comfort Zone

You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. Determination is pursuing a goal with energy and focus. It keeps us firmly centered on a chosen purpose. It is the tool we use to keep defeat from becoming permanent. Sometimes we find ourselves distracted from our central goal by other desires. We get overwhelmed by obstacles, isolation, pain or fatigue. At these times, determination pushes onward and gives us the energy to triumph. By keeping us on a path, determination helps us to make our dreams into realities and to live by our highest values.

Persistence means continuing to work toward a goal even when it takes a long time or things get tough. Without persistence, obstacles stop us; with persistence we learn from our failures – we work with them and use them as stepping stones instead of barriers. Persistence allows us to succeed where otherwise we might fail, because much of what matters in life requires sustained efforts and repeated attempts. The greater the accomplishment we seek, the more likely this is to be true.

Focus is the ability to devote our full attention and concentration to a person or process. Focus lends clarity and direction to our day to day activities. It lets us maximize our progress and productivity by directing our energies toward one priority at a time. By honing our focus we can reach new levels of insight, knowledge and quality.

Aspiration is a hunger to fulfill our dreams and visions. When we aspire to a goal, any goal, that aspiration guides our decisions and directs our energy. Quite often it also rallies others to the same goal, and then becomes the focus of shared efforts and satisfactions. One of the wonders of being human is our ability to conjure from our imaginations a better self or a better world and to set off on a path, however crooked or obscure, from here to there. Some of our dreams are small and personal; others encompass the whole of humanity. Each gives us a sense of purpose, an answer to the question, "Why?" When we give our undivided focus to another person, they feel valued by us. We can connect with them in more meaningful ways, increasing the potential for understanding and empathy.

Persistence in the service of a higher goal calls out many other virtues in us, because in order to persist we have to push ourselves beyond what is comfortable.

Trounce Dejection and Withdrawal

We all get down sometimes, but fortunately there are a lot of things that can help! One of my favorites is listening to music, so here are some of the best songs for getting over the lump!

Life Is Precious and So Are You

We are the actors, writers, creators, producers and directors of our life and can re-write and re-create anything, anytime. Life is precious and so are you…Value, love, and embrace each and every minute. Today is a new day and I am ready…Are you?

I am in deep gratitude for all that I have learned in my 30 years and counting. Some lessons were fun, some painful, and in each there was always a choice: to grow or not. I invite you to learn from my mistakes and enjoy the journey of self and others. Listen to your body. The mind, body, spirit connection is a vast field of multi-sensory information that is always a beacon and guide to us, if we stop, listen, and breathe.

Learn that the art of seeing, hearing, feeling and communicating are the foundations to any good, quality, long term relationship of any kind. Love your body, move it and nourish it with healthy, alive, whole foods. Doing so gives us so much more energy, awareness, and creativity. Diets don’t work. Why would anyone want to lose weight when the actual action one usually takes when losing something is go about finding it? Instead choose to release all unwanted baggage and create a healthy daily lifestyle.

Love completely. Why hold out? If things end, it was a journey that both parties learned, played and grew from. Honor your time. Be willing to delegate or say sorry or no – and be honest about it. Live full out each and every day; dance, sing like nobody is watching. Embrace transformation. Change, like going from cocoon to flight, is the place where all new opportunities, friendships, and experiences arise from, giving us the chance to soar to new heights.

Always be open, honest, and authentic, and speak from a compassionate passionate space. Know that we all have a past. Own it, love it, thank it, forgive yourself and others, and then move on fearlessly into the unknown. Our pasts have made us into these amazing people that we presently are, so how can one regret the past. It doesn’t brand us, our inner self critic does. Know we are the actors, writers, creators, producers and directors of our life and can re-write and re-create anything, anytime.

"Let’s do it" is much more fun than "do it"…. As "let’s" energetically is the collective; the we. Personally I truly do believe team work is what makes our dreams work, the world work. Conscious business collaboration is where true abundance arises from- if we embody the true meanings of giving, receiving, value, authenticity, sharing, collaboration, co-creating, and team.

It’s very special when you give and do because you choose to, because you love what you do, and for no other reason or expectation of anything in return.

Be open to all feedback, as that is an amazing place to learn, play and grow from. Don’t take it personally, or go to a place of judgment. Life is so much more fun and easy when we let go of should of, could of, try, can’t, and but, and instead embrace I am, I will, tomorrow I am, I used to and now I am, let’s, we, and so on.

Enjoy the journey!

Live With Love

Inspiring Moments

Life is yours to create, if only you believe it to be. Never give up on yourself. You are, and always will be, the most important person in your life, for your life would not exist without you! You are capable of anything. In order to attain any accomplishment, you must believe that you are worthy of achieving it! Everything in your life can assist you in some way, but if you focus on the have-nots, then you will always be wanting for more.

Shift your focus onto your innate worthiness. Worthiness does not have to be achieved or bestowed upon you; your worthiness is already there, because it is an integral part of life. Once you realize that you always have been worthy of great things, you can truly begin to open up to your ability to create great things in your life. Discover what you are inspired to do. Anything that inspires you is your key to uncovering your life path. Find that key, turn that key, and see what waits behind the door.

Form your own unique path. Your life does not need to be a reflection of any other person’s journey. You are uniquely talented and beautiful; let your uniqueness guide you to your purpose. Be patient. Impatience is only a manifestation of living in the future. However, when you are living in the now moment, you create your future. Patience is about trust; trusting in you, trusting in the process of life, and trusting in Divine Reinforcement.

Share your joy with others. Do not let your expectations of others’ opinions prevent you from opening up about your happiness. If you feel joy in your life, share it. It only can grow bigger! Expand your perceptions. What you can achieve is only limited by what you think you can achieve. If you take guided action in your life every day, you will not only be able to live a life of your own making, but also you will open up to even more possibilities.

Live with love. Love is to be pleased about others for who they are and allowing others to see the real you. Unconditional love is the source of personal power and authenticity. When you are aligned with a state of love, nothing can stand in your way. Listen to your intuition. It will always show you what to do next. The more you trust in your inner voice, the more wonderful synchronicities you will experience. The more you listen, the more messages you will receive.

Treat yourself. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Find fun ways to give your time, love, healing, relaxation, fun and happiness for others. Say "Thank you." Be thankful for your home, your loved ones, your health, your bank account, etc. When you view your life with gratitude, you attract more to be grateful for. Never stop learning. The moment you decide that you are done, the Universe will always show you that you have so much more to learn!

Prodigious Photographs

The wisdom of the wise and the experienced Legendary Photographers: You don’t take a photograph, you make it. Full awareness of what makes a good photo is essential in taking great photographs. Why anyone would be interested in this photo and what elements can be included or excluded to make it truly great? Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst. Do you know how many photos you have taken up until now? You will have to take thousands of pictures to reach a point where you can begin to evaluate them objectively. Looking upon your photos as if you were looking at them through someone else’s eyes is a good way to give yourself constructive criticism. Comparing your first photos with your most recent, do you see improvement? Do you remember how you loved some of your first photos – do you still love them or are they now not so good anymore? Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph. You often don’t or can’t see beauty in the world until someone shows it to you. Take a look around you just now – even without moving from the computer. Can you see something in a new way, a different way of presenting something common? Just take a look again…Nothing happens when you sit at home. I always make it a point to carry a camera with me at all times…I just shoot at what interests me at that moment. When the world is your canvas, so to speak, you need your tools with you to capture everything around you. Make a habit of always carrying a camera with you—you will never suffer the regret of wishing you had. Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow. Never be fully satisfied with what you’ve done. Never stop photographing. It is very likely that your best photograph has not yet been captured. You’ve got to push yourself harder. You’ve got to start looking for pictures nobody else could take. You’ve got to take the tools you have and probe deeper. We are always looking for reasons for not taking good pictures. Cartier-Bresson used film camera, same lens, no flash, same shutter speed – he didn’t need the newest digital equipment to take great photos. We all have access to some subjects that no one else has access to – look at your friends’ hobbies, the workplaces of friends and family, and any place you have access to find a vision that comes uniquely from your access. Many people would dream of having the same access you have, and you might not have considered how valuable your access is. If I saw something in my viewfinder that looked familiar to me, I would do something to shake it up. How often have you seen a photo that is missing something, thinking, “This is a good photo but I’d make it different somehow.”? Sometimes small things make a big difference. Don’t be afraid to shake things up. I always thought good photos were like good jokes. If you have to explain it, it just isn’t that good. Sometimes it is interesting to hear the story behind the photo and you see the photo in a new light. But in most cases a photo shouldn’t need a story to back it up. It has to speak for itself. Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop. Even one of the masters in photography, Ansel Adams, didn’t expect to get more than 12 great photographs each year. How can anyone expect more? Take a look at your last year in photos – do you really see 12 photos that stand out from the rest? It can be a trap of the photographer to think that his or her best pictures were the ones that were hardest to get. Editing photos can often be the most difficult but also the most satisfying part. Sometimes taking a quick look at all the photos and then going away for a while before taking a closer look lends a fresh eye to your viewing. You may see things you did not notice previously. Stepping away from the mass of photos can make certain images stand out in your mind’s eye, leaving a memorable impression that can characterize a good photo.
